
Full course description
This certificate program was developed by faculty and graduate students in the Agricultural Education and Communication department at the University of Florida. You will learn about a range of disabilities, their associated behaviors and characteristics, and strategies for working with these students in a variety of settings in Career and Technical Education (CTE). You will also become familiar with federal legislation regarding the inclusion of students with disabilities in a public school setting.
The course is divided into 9 module topics:

- Autism Spectrum Disorder & Asperger's Syndrome
- Hearing Impairments & Deafness
- Visual Impairment & Blindness
- Emotional Disturbance & Behavioral Disorder
- Intellectual Disabilities

- Traumatic Brain Injury
